Chain of the World Peace

Pukurinyil K.M. Rajendran was born in a poor family as the only son of Sri. Muraleedharanachari and Smt. Sarojiniamma in 1977 in Vaipur, a small village in Mallapally Taluk, Pathanamthitta District. In the early childhood itself Rajendran had shown dexterity in music and architecture. His parents gave him the best education they could afford inspite of their miserable life hoping that their child could bring good fortune. But, being a compassionate person, Rajendran's way of thinking was different. His mind was looking for mercy and peace. His parents, though unsatisfied, promoted the ideas of their son.

Starting the ideas

At the age of 16, Rajendran had made an ordinary chain which had inspired him to make this chain. In fulfilling the long cherished idea, he had undergone many obstacles, difficulties and challenges and had lost 50cents of land in addition to many years of work.

Chain of the World Peace

A chain of 112 feet long built without any joints connecting 195 countries of the world on the basis of their boundaries with United Nations at the centre. This chain is named as 'Chain of the World Peace'.

This chain connects the192 Republican countries, Vatican and Palestine (observant position countries) and Taiwan (C) on boundary relation.

United Nations

  • United Nations Organization and its activities are depicted. Inside UN, Earth is pictured with the words
    Plant Trees, Protect Earth from Global Warming.
  • Dove, the sign of peace, flying with the Chain of World Peace is at the tip of the earth depicted inside UN. "Chain of the World Peace" is written on the open wings of the dove.
  • The chain is built with UN as center. One side of the chain goes through North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania whereas the other side goes through South America, Africa, Asia, Oceania.
  • The following words are written in the two links beside UN. Peace, Protection of Environment, Equal Partnership.
  • Two links passing through North America, Europe are specially designed. They are as follows.
